Rough Seas

As part of our Element Series, art is designed to illustrate the beauty, power, complexity and underlying meanings of our planet's elements and landscapes. Water can take many forms. Water gives, as it serves as a home for an abundance of marine life and is essential for the survival of all living things. The calmness of water and retreat of the tide serves as a symbol of peace and tranquility. Water also takes, as harsh conditions can prove trying and sometimes deadly to those who enter. Turbulent waters and the advancement of the tide can represent instability and disruption. The key is that the tide will always advance and retreat. There will always be balance. Everyone and everything will experience rough seas in life. Persevere, as the waves will eventually fade, and balance will be restored.
